Privacy policy

Road4Trip

The short version: Road4Trip collects nothing and sends nothing.

What data is collected

None. Road4Trip does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to the provider or to third parties.

There is no user account, no registration, no analytics tools, no advertising and no trackers.

Your routes and trips

The routes, stops, dates, notes and ratings you enter are stored exclusively on your iPhone. They do not leave your device. The provider has no access to them.

If you delete the app, this data is removed with it. No copy exists anywhere else.

Backup in iCloud Drive

If you switch backup on, Road4Trip places a copy of your routes in your personal iCloud Drive – in the “Road4Trip” folder. A switch decides whether photos are included.

This data stays in your own Apple account. It does not go to the developer of Road4Trip and not to third parties; Apple’s privacy terms for iCloud apply.

If you switch backup off, no record leaves the device. Backups already stored can be deleted by you at any time in the Files app.

Location

Road4Trip can use your location to show you on the map. The location is processed on the device only, never stored and never transmitted.

You can withdraw the permission in the iPhone settings at any time – the app remains usable.

Place search and route calculation

When you search for a place or a route is calculated, these requests go through Apple’s maps service. Apple’s privacy terms apply.

The provider of Road4Trip learns nothing about them.

Navigation in Apple Maps and Google Maps

When you start a route, Road4Trip hands the coordinates of your stops to the maps app you chose. From that moment on, its privacy terms apply.

This handover only happens when you trigger it yourself.

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected, there are no records about which information could be provided or which could be deleted.

Control over your content lies entirely with you, on your device.

Changes

Should future versions gain features that require data transmission – such as sharing routes – this statement will be adapted beforehand and the app will point it out.
